Women Alternative Photography Group and Folk House Darkroom in partnership hosted The Art of Experimentation: A Symposium on Alternative Photography at the Bristol Folk House in Bristol, England. This symposium brought together presentations from contemporary artists and researchers who explore the possibilities of alternative photographic processes. This symposium considered how contemporary practitioners are using innovative and unique approaches to photography to explore the possibilities of light sensitive materials.

This half day symposium connected artists, researchers, curators, and arts practitioners to reflect on the different ways in which alternative photographic processes can explore concepts that inspire women, non-binary, and trans artists.
